Never been camping before? Want to camp but don’t want all the work? Have we got a family-friendly mini-vacation for you! Come to Camp Massasoit for one of our Family Camping weekends. You can pitch your own tent or borrow one of ours to sleep out under the stars. Or retreat at the end of the day to a comfy, 6 bunk beds cabin or one of our larger shared cabins with up to 24 bunk beds. We even plan lots of activities. Challenge a friend or someone you just met to a friendly game of horseshoes. Check out the BB and Archery ranges. They are not only great fun but are run by trained certified range officers. What about a swim in Elbow Pond. The waterfront is divided off in three areas and campers can only use the areas that they are qualified for. The waterfront director has been certified by the National Council BSA Camping School and life guards are certified BSA Lifeguards. While at the waterfront why not take out one of our boats. We have paddle boats, rowboats, kayaks and sail boats. The fishing is great and we even have a dock that is for fishing only. The Handicraft Lodge is open all day long with projects designed for all age groups. At the end of the dining hall is the start of a self guided nature trail that will point out many of the natural beautiful plants we have in camp. There is a playground area for the younger kids that has swings, a slide, as well as a large covered sand box. The camp has bathrooms located in many areas, all with flush toilets and several have hot showers. When it’s time to eat, you will be served delicious meals in our dining hall. Meals start with breakfast on Saturday. Friday night has a movie, Saturday night has a make your own ice-cream sundae party followed by a camp wide campfire loaded with skits and songs. This is camping at its best - toilets, hot showers, lots to do - and someone else to do all the cooking and cleanup. This year we are offering a limited number of tents which families can borrow for the weekend. The best part is we will even set them up for you. They do not have bunks so bring along an air mattress or pad to sleep on. There are also 5 small 6 person cabins. The cabins and loaner tents are filled on a first come reservation basis so sign up early. The cost of a regular family weekend is: under 3yrs free, $30 per child 3 yrs -12yrs and $40 13 yrs – adult. Maximum a family pays is $150 (immediate family only).

Calling all Dads. Here is your chance to be king for a whole weekend. Dads will get the royal treatment this weekend and not have to do any of the work. We will even give every Dad a gift on his special day.

We have put aside Labor Day weekend to offer a 4 day 3 night weekend to end the summer with all the fun possible. Friday night and Saturday will follow a regular Family Camping Weekend. But Sunday will be party time with events and prizes all day long. We will also have an old fashioned cookout with all the trimmings. Come celebrate with us the end of another great summer.
