#16 Fuller Bog

Untill 1963 when this bog was purchased by John & Buell Fuller and given to the Boy Scouts as a memorial to their mother, this was the only piece of land surrounding the pond which was privately owned. For many years it was a productive cranberry bog. Now it is a favorite place for those interested in nature as it hosts numerous varieties of plants and animals. Below is Bob Packer (the first campmaster) standing on the bridge over the entrance to the bog. It was washed away the year it rained so much the whole bog was under water most of the year. It was replaced in 1998 with the Howie as shown below.
