#5 Massasoit Monument
| The monument with the name of the camp inscribed on it is of Quincy Granite and was donated by Mr. Paul Ricciardi who operated a granite business in Quincy. It was moved to it's present location overlooking the circle, and was replaced with the current flag pole. The monument replaced a totem pole which was carved by Buell Fuller and erected in 1932. Buell and his brother John can be seen in the picture above. Can you tell who is who? I never could as they both dressed the same. |
